Urban planner · New York
I use spatial analysis and fieldwork to show where land-use pressure is building and what to do about it.
I'm an urban planner with an M.S. in Urban Planning from Columbia GSAPP. As an ANHD/Morgan Stanley Community Development Graduate Fellow at Evergreen Exchange, I studied industrial displacement pressure in the Greenpoint-Williamsburg Industrial Business Zone and wrote two reports on it.
Featured work
Twenty Years On
Who still runs industrial businesses in the Greenpoint-Williamsburg IBZ, what's making it harder, and what the city could do about it.
Where the Zone Ends
A parcel-level screening framework that flags displacement pressure on 445 industrial-compatible lots and tests where it clusters.
What I do
Record reconciliation
I reconciled Evergreen's business records into 251 distinct industrial businesses, separating 53 confirmed operators and 74 confirmed losses from records that couldn't be verified.
Spatial analysis
I scored 445 industrial-compatible lots on 16 indicators and tested block scores with Getis-Ord Gi*, which identified 33 hot-spot blocks spanning the 90%, 95% and 99% confidence levels.
Fieldwork
I designed and administered my own business survey and facilitated a March 2026 focus group with industrial business operators, then checked what operators told me against block-level evidence.
